Elsie is such a little legend. This week she had her immunisations. She sounded so sad when she cried, but within ten seconds she stopped. This made me simultaneously realise two things; that Matisse probably doesn't inflict as much pain on her as I thought, or she is so used to having things like chopsticks poked into her stomach that the needles were, to place a bad pun, child's play.
Next, her measurements were taken. She is the perfect weight, a fair bit taller than average, and typical of the past, her head is so big it's off the charts, in the 120%, to take a guess. The nurses said it's a sign of a massive brain, and measurements they aren't used to seeing in the Karama Community Health Centre. Oh snap.
Afterwards, we grabbed the groceries. Whilst I was busy looking at mini food processors, Elspeth had ripped the immunisation bandaid off her leg, and was trying to throw it on the ground. Instead, it was wrapped around her three fingers and she was just flicking her hand like a rapper. The point I am pathetically trying to make, is that she is so tough! Then. Out of nowhere, Snoop Dogg saw her and told her to put the band aid back on, on her face. Elsie said "no, I don't need no fake sympathy, Snoop Lion."
